Andrew Duff MEP outlining visions on electoral reform on 14 June

On Tuesday 14 June at 19h00 in the ELDR Headquarters (Rue Montoyer 31, 7th floor), liberal constitutional affairs expert Andrew Duff MEP will discuss electoral reform of the European Parliament. Rapporteur of the European Parliamen’s proposal for a modification of the “Act concerning the election of the Members of the European Parliament by direct universal suffrage of 20 September 1976”, Duff wants to truly realise European elections. His report inter alia proposes setting aside 25 seats for candidates elected through Europe-wide lists presented by the European political parties, starting with the next elections in 2014.

You are kindly invited to join the event which is organised by the local section of the UK Liberal Democrats in Brussels. Please RSVP to ldbxl@yahoo.co.uk by Monday 13 June.
