At UNPO, we believe that the answer to that question is absolutely yes. That is why we are launching our project ‘From Slavery to Success! Read, Write and Smile’. We are hoping that you will be a part of it.

Today, Mauritania is the country with the highest number of slaves in the world. 90% of those slaves are women and children.

Our crowdfunding campaign aims to provide poor Haratin children, who are the descendants of slaves, escape from the poverty they still face by getting an education. We want to provide them with lessons in reading and writing, so that they will be better able to earn a living when they get older. To do this, we need to raise $3,000.

You can help us to break the cycle of discrimination, one child at a time.
