Dutch liberals D66 present their list of European elections candidates

On Friday 31 January, Democraten 66 (D66), one of the ALDE Party’s member parties in the Netherlands, announced its list of candidates for the upcoming European Election in May 2014.

The top three candidates on the list will be incumbent MEPs Sophie In ‘t Veld, Gerben-Jan Gerbrandy and Marietje Schaake. The complete list of 36 candidates can be found here: view pdf.

Sophie In ‘t Veld was announced as lead candidate on Saturday 2 November while the rest of the list order was determined by an online vote of D66 members conducted between 16th and 30th January.

The candidates will be presented this weekend in Amsterdam at the 99th D66 Congress. The party's European election manifesto will also be presented and adopted.
